The pen. It’s one of the most popular promotional products ever. You see them everywhere – from your dentist office to the pizza shop. And yet, pens are often an after-thought when buying. But not all pens are created equal. The next time you hear “We’re out of pens” here are some things to consider.
1. Does it write? You can buy pens for $0.08 apiece. That’s cheap. But why waste even $0.08 if the pen isn’t going to work. This can turn your harmless promo into a frustration for your customers quickly.
2. Ink. If you have a specific look you are going for this can make a difference. There is your standard ballpoint pen, but also rollerball, gel pens and come in a variety of colored inks. There are also retractable, capped and twist tops. This about what is most practical for your business environment.
3. Imprint. Think about what you want to imprint.
4. Features. Believe it or not, there are some pretty fancy pens out there with some pretty features. We’ve seen Gobo Pens, USB Pens, The Multi Pen and our favorite at Proforma… The Banner Pen.
